The following photographs were taken at the Angliss Hospital, Ferntree Gully, Victoria, with Master John D. Hughes' body after his death at 5.50pm on 29 November 2003.
Venerable Members of the Sangha (nine Monks and Nuns were in attendance), Family, Friends and Members of the Buddhist Discussion Centre (Upwey) Ltd. chanted prayers for the good rebirth of John D. Hughes in the hours following his death.
Chanting included namo amitafo and Buddhist prayers for the deceased chanted by Buddhist Monks, Buddhist Nuns and lay persons.
